Usually unilateral, small (mean cm, largest reported cm) and confined to the renal parenchyma without perinephric / vascular invasion or necrosis (Am J Surg Pathol ;, Am J Surg Pathol ;, Mod Pathol   Cystic renal cell carcinoma (CRCC) is relatively rare; CRCC is frequently misdiagnosed as a benign renal cyst. CRCC carries an excellent prognosis following surgical treatment. The aim of our study was to summarize the management of CRCC and to characterize the prognosis of affected patients. A retrospective study of 67 patients with CRCC was conducted at our center between Cited by: 7.

Two previous case reports described very large solid tumors without cystic lesions on CT [6,7], and a third case report described an enlarged liver without mass lesion on CT scan ; CT scan in our case showed a multilocular cystic lesion. These findings indicate that CT scans in patients with ES arising in the liver can reveal a polycystic tumor Cited by: 5.   Echinococcosis is classified as either cystic echinococcosis or alveolar echinococcosis. Cystic echinocccosis (CE), also known as hydatid disease, is caused by infection with the larval stage of Echinococcus granulosus, a ~ millimeter long tapeworm found in dogs (definitive host) and sheep, cattle, goats, and pigs (intermediate hosts).

The spectrum of cystic renal neoplasms includes both benign and malignant tumors and the order is as follows: benign multilocular cyst, multilocular cystic renal cell cancer and cystic renal cell cancer. Gross similarities among multicystic tumors of the kidney may cause conflict in the diagnosis and treatment of these lesions. We report a year old male patient who presented with a mild Cited by: Use of Contrast Radiography to Differentiate Unilocular Cystic Lesion from Multilocular One - A Case Report. Multilocular cystic renal cell carcinoma (MCRCC) is an uncommon subtype of clear cell renal cell carcinoma that appears to have a favourable prognosis. Literature reports a very low incidence of 1–2% of MCRCC among the renal neoplasms. The first such reported case was in by by: 1. Multilocular cystic nephroma is a rare entity of benign multicystic renal tumor.

It was first described inand only approximately cases have so far been reported in the related literature. 1 The diagnosis is made based exclusively on the pathological by: 2. In Ivker and Keesal reported three more cases of multicystic disease and reviewed the literature to date.

In Boggs and Kimmelstiel reported 2 cases of multilocular cysts of the hicine}- and found 14 cases in the literature meeting the rigid criteria established for this lesion. The following case of a multilocular cyst of the kidney is reported because of its rarity and certain unusual by: All 9 cases of multilocular cystic renal cell carcinoma were of the clear cell type and tumor grade 1.

The mean follow-up period was 65 months (range 9 to ). The 5-year disease-specific survival rates for multilocular cystic renal cell carcinoma and cystic necrosis were % and 80%, respectively. DISCUSSION In infants and children multilocular renal cystic disease frequently has been mistaken clinically for Wilms tumor and occasionally this has resulted in the unnecessary use of preoperative radiation ther-  apy.

It has a bimodal. Multilocular renal cystic disease is a rare, benign condition thought to occur unilaterally. We report a case of asynchronous, bilateral multilocular Cited by: 8. Since the first recorded case of multilocular cyst of the kidney in there have been more than 65 cases reported in the English literature, including 5 cases of multilocular cyst associated.

According to Eble and Bonsib, CN stands at one end of a spectrum of renal cystic diseases of the childhood that includes pure CN, cystic – partially differentiated nephroblastoma, multilocular cysts with nodules of Wilms tumor and Wilms tumours.

Similarly, in adults (as in our case) the order would be CN, multilocular cystic renal cell carcinoma and cystic renal cell by: To emphasize the good behavior of this tumor, it was renamed as multilocular cystic renal neoplasm of low malignant potential [1,3,9]. MCRNLMP accounts for less than 1% of renal neoplasms [ 1, 2 ].

A case of a multilocular cyst of the kidney, examined preoperatively also by means of CT, is reported. Because of diagnostic problems often unsolved, nephrectom is recommended as the treatment of by: 1. Case Report Multilocular Cystic Renal Cell Carcinoma or Cystic Nephroma.

Multilocular cystic nephroma is a relatively rare benign tumour of the kidney, which usually presents as a unilateral multicystic renal mass without solid elements.

To our knowledge, this is the fourth reported case of Ewing sarcoma occurring in the liver, and the first case with a multilocular cystic liver mass.

The aim of this report is to present a case of MCRCC and emphasize the importance of the preoperative radiologic evaluation and immunohistochemical staining confirmation to obtain an accurate : Adolfo González-Serrano, Roberto Cortez-Betancourt, Alejandro Alías-Melgar, Pedro Jair Botello-Gómez.

There have been no reported cases of malignant behaviour or potential in multilocular renal cysts [1, 7, 8].Imaging, percutaneous tissue biopsy and cyst aspiration cannot differentiate a multilocular cyst from multicystic renal cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, or Wilms' tumour [1, 9, 10].Thus the management of this lesion, for diagnostic accuracy as well as for treatment, is either by total Cited by: 2.Cystic nephroma, also called multilocular cystic nephroma (MLCN), is a rare, non-genetic, benign, renal cystic lesion and presents as a unilateral, multicystic renal mass without solid nodules [1].
